市高JRCは1月にインドネシア赤十字社とZoomでつなぎ、インドネシアでの地震や津波の防災について現地の人たちとのディスカッションなどを通して学び、防災の大切さを話し合っていました。その直後に今回のトンガでの災害やウクライナでの人道危機のニュースを目にし、「救援金を集めたい」と自ら考えて、生徒や保護者に募金を呼びかけました

Shiko JRC connected with the Indonesian Red Cross Society at Zoom in January, learned about disaster prevention of earthquakes and tsunamis in Indonesia through discussions with local people, and discussed the importance of disaster prevention. Immediately after that, we saw the news of the disaster in Tonga and the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, and we thought “We want to collect relief money” and called on students and parents to raise money.
